Warranty Limitations
Unless otherwise expressly provided for in writing and subject to the exclusions set out in this warranty:
- Electrical and Electronic Components: Components (excluding batteries) are warranted for 12 months from purchase. Batteries are not covered.
- Finish: The Warranty does not apply to finishes of Auslock branded Smart Locks nor to cosmetic or appearance damage.
How to Claim Your Warranty
If purchased from a retailer:
- Return the product securely packed to protect against damage
- Provide details of your warranty claim, proof of purchase, and your contact information
- Submit to the original retailer within the warranty period
If purchased directly from Auslock:
- Contact our customer service to initiate the claim and obtain a Sales Goods Return (SGR) number
- Securely pack the product with a copy of your proof of purchase
- Clearly mark the SGR number on the packaging
- Return to our specified address within the warranty period
Note: Products returned without an SGR number may not be accepted. Issuance of an SGR number doesn't constitute warranty claim acceptance.
Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not apply to:
- Improperly installed products
- Products not maintained according to our guidelines
- Use of non-specified batteries
- Products used outside specifications
- Customized products
- Fair wear and tear
- Unauthorized modifications
- Use of non-genuine parts
- Accident, abuse, or neglect
- Exposure to corrosives (except Stainless Steel Slim series)
- Non-new products
- Products sold as "B" class or seconds
- Products not originally sold in Australia
- Products with removed branding
Australian Consumer Law Protections
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to:
- A replacement or refund for a major failure
- Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
- Repair or replacement if goods fail to be of acceptable quality (for non-major failures)

What's covered under the warranty?
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship (including mechanical parts) for 1 year from purchase. Electrical components (excluding batteries) are covered for 12 months.
How do I know if my lock is under warranty?
Your lock is under warranty if it's within 1 year of purchase, hasn't been tampered with, and you have proof of purchase. The security sticker must also be intact.
What if I don't have my receipt?
Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims. If you purchased online, we may be able to locate your order with your email address or order number.
Can I transfer the warranty to a new owner?
No, the warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners.
